Fat-dissolving injection ingredients: What is left out is what matters.

We have been receiving many inquiries about fat-dissolving injections lately.

As a clinic that researches and performs these procedures in detail,

we believe that beyond effectiveness, it is crucial to exclude unnecessary ingredients.

​

We believe that a fat-dissolving injection

should be designed to be clean rather than aggressive.

​

Patients coming in for our Clean Cut procedure often ask

about the volume (cc) or how quickly it works.

​

Volume is certainly important.

​

However, it is even more critical to check which ingredients are included and which ones are excluded.

We believe that a fat-dissolving injection should not just be about making the face look slimmer for a moment.

We created Clean Cut because we believe that the more a procedure aims to create a clean line, the cleaner its ingredients should be.

The core ingredients that directly reduce fat are divided into DCA and CA.

Among them, the original products approved in Korea include V-OLET and New Bijou.

​

This led us to think.

We considered which ingredients should not be in Clean Cut.

​

1. Steroids: They can help reduce inflammation and swelling.

​

When included in fat-dissolving injections and acting on the skin or subcutaneous fat layer, they can cause localized skin atrophy, fat atrophy, and pigment changes. Excessive steroid use can lead to hair loss, thinning skin, and potential skin depression. Furthermore, it can cause menstrual cycle changes or breakthrough bleeding. Therefore, we have boldly removed steroids from Clean Cut.

2. Hyaluronidase: An enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid.

It is used to dissolve fillers. When hyaluronidase enters our body, it can cause allergic reactions.

Also, hyaluronic acid naturally exists in our skin and subcutaneous tissue. Hyaluronidase, which can dissolve substances in the extracellular matrix, may reduce the skin's moisture, elasticity, and structural support.

3. PPC: An ingredient widely used in the past. Rather than destroying fat on its own, it has been used in combination with DCA.

However, problems such as inflammatory reactions, pain, swelling, nodules, skin irregularities, and tissue damage have been reported with PPC. Reactions like inflammation, necrosis, and fibrosis have also been observed. Furthermore, because it has a high potential to leave behind lumps and uneven tissue, we consider PPC an unclean ingredient.

4. Diuretics: They may appear to help with water excretion and reduce swelling.

However, we believe the purpose of a fat-dissolving injection is to refine the fat layer, not to remove water. Additionally, the inclusion of diuretics can lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, dizziness, and hypotension, and in severe cases, even the risk of arrhythmia.

That is why we created Clean Cut, which contains none of these four ingredients.
