“Expensive analysis equipment does not necessarily produce a good result.” It may sound surprising to hear that from a clinic director.

1. Mark-Vu: Mapping the Skin

What looks like an ordinary dark spot to the naked eye can be assessed with Mark-Vu to distinguish deeper melasma from more superficial pigmentation.

We also examine facial contours to identify areas that may need lifting or volume treatment.

Like drawing a map, we look at the direction of enlarged pores and investigate the underlying cause of redness.

2. Moisture Meter: Assessing the Skin’s Baseline Condition

What happens if a strong laser is used on severely dehydrated skin?

It can make matters worse. We check differences in moisture levels across areas to assess whether the skin is ready to tolerate treatment.

3. Ultrasound: Looking Beneath the Surface

We examine skin thickness, muscle movement, and the depth of the fat layer in real time—details that cannot be seen from the outside.

“Where should we lift for the most natural result?” “Where can we inject while avoiding blood vessels?” We work with visual confirmation rather than relying only on touch.

4. Vascular Assessment Device: Checking Circulation

We examine where abnormally dilated vessels are concentrated. Identifying areas of poor circulation in advance can help reduce bruising and swelling after treatment.

Together, these four devices provide more than measurements: they create an integrated understanding of the skin.

For example, someone came to us because of facial sagging. A lifting laser might ordinarily be recommended immediately, but our four-part assessment showed a severely compromised skin barrier and very low moisture levels. In that situation, restoring moisture comes before an expensive lifting treatment, so that lifting can be more effective later.

That is what I see as the power of comprehensive assessment.
