[Sio Clinic] Treatment Methods for Nasolabial Fold Concerns

Hello.

This is Sio Clinic, where we smooth out nasolabial folds.

Nasolabial folds are

one of the normal contours of the face.

They are not just wrinkles caused by aging;

even newborns have them.

Since removing them completely looks unnatural,

appropriate curvature is necessary.

Nasolabial folds can be broadly divided into two types.

· Static wrinkles: Wrinkles visible even when at rest

· Dynamic wrinkles: Wrinkles that appear when smiling or talking

First, let me explain the causes of static wrinkles.

Static wrinkles are those visible when the face is at rest.

Fat decomposition

Fat migration

Decreased skin elasticity

Weakened support structures

-> Depending on the cause, combining lifting procedures can be helpful.

However, for nasolabial folds, you can only see proper results if procedures that directly add volume, such as collagen boosters or fillers, are injected into the exact necessary locations.

To guide you on how to resolve static wrinkles:

Need to reinforce volume in sunken areas: Filler or collagen booster

Generally, the recommended dosage is 1-2cc (per side)

Rather than the dosage, the location where the filler is placed, the corresponding layer, and the direction of support are more important.

Next, I will explain the causes of dynamic wrinkles.

Skin elasticity

Repetitive muscle movement

Skin folding during movement

These can be factors.

For resolving dynamic wrinkles,

First of all,

it is difficult to resolve them with simple volume reinforcement alone.

In the case of these wrinkles, improvement in elasticity is required.

Wrinkle fillers, wrinkle-improving lifting, or skin boosters are necessary.

There is a point of caution here!

In the case of excessive volume reinforcement, especially in the nasolabial area, the facial contours can be lost, making the face look flat.

Also, the area around the mouth can look dull, and the face can appear puffy, leading to an unnatural impression.

Furthermore, as structural three-dimensionality is lost, your expression can change into one that people perceive as unnatural.

For clients who wish to improve their nasolabial area,

at our Sio Clinic,

we evaluate the following factors.

Whether they are static or dynamic wrinkles

What specifically they want to improve, e.g., when looking straight, when taking photos, when smiling, when talking, etc.

Balance with the cheekbones

Balance with the volume of the front and side cheeks

Presence of wrinkles next to the mouth (marionette lines)

Whether the jawline is sagging

Treatment is required according to each individual's balance,

and if you do not want procedures on other areas, the nasolabial procedure

must be adjusted to match your overall balance.

Not excessive

Balanced

Focusing on precise location rather than dosage

Continuously looking at the overall structure rather than just looking at the area in isolation (not just looking at the nasolabial depression)

Maintaining three-dimensionality

These aspects must be accompanied to properly improve the depression in the nasolabial area.

From Hilo Wave procedures for nasolabial fillers to various lifting, filler, collagen booster, and lifting treatments, we have many options available,

so we recommend that you visit us at any time for a consultation.
